“Fauxstage Stamps”
2001, 20" x 40"
Color reproduction of performance piece art.

In March of 2001, I designed a number of U.S. postage stamps to be used as “real” postage and mailed them to family and friends all over the U.S. and the world as an experiment to see how many, and what kind of stamps would make it through the postal system. I mailed envelopes posted with my “Fauxstage” stamps with a letter explaining the project, asking the recipient to return the original envelope to me if and when they received it. About half made it back. $60, Signed and numbered. Series of 50.
